SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR SPRING OFFENSIVE

CultureCult Press invites poetry submissions for publication in its anthology “Spring Offensive” (Expected release: April 2023). The final date of submission is February 10, 2023.

This anthology of poetry owes its name to the seminal Wilfred Owen poem titled “Spring Offensive”, depicting the desperation of war in the backdrop of beautiful spring.

We are looking for poems inspired by the the themes of this Wilfred Owen classic (Read the poem HERE), where verses of delightful spring stand in contrast to the desperation and horrors of strife, wherever in the world or in whichever time that might be.

PLEASE NOTE that this is an anthology with a THEME. ONLY those poems that have themes of BOTH Spring and Strife/War/Rebellion, shall be considered for publication.

WE ARE ACCEPTING:

Poetry: Send no more than THREE poems per submission. There is no word limit, but uncharacteristically long pieces may be rejected.

We are accepting TRANSLATED WORKS as well. Submission of translated works must be accompanied by a statement declaring that the translator has obtained the poet’s permission and their publisher’s, if required.

Simultaneous Submissions are welcome but the author must inform us by e-mail as soon as the submitted poem/s is accepted elsewhere. A piece cannot be withdrawn once CultureCult informs the poet of its acceptance for publication.

We consider reprints but generally do not publish them unless they are absolutely exceptional.

At present, we are unable to pay our contributors. However, each contributor shall receive a COMPLIMENTARY DIGITAL COPY of the anthology as soon as it publishes.

Manuscripts should directly be sent to CultureCultMagazine@gmail.com
Emails must have the subject line “Submission for Spring Offensive
